About LOOPTY
Â
Purpose

Loopty is the modular urban furniture system developed within the framework of Street Forum. Based on a zero-waste approach, the system transforms recycled plastic into a flexible building material, allowing participants to collectively assemble different types of public space elements.
Â
Rather than focusing on complex fabrication processes, Loopty is designed to be accessible, collaborative, and hands-on: participants work with pre-prepared modules and create furniture together through simple assembly techniques. In this way, production becomes a shared experience, and public space becomes a site of collective making.
Â
As part of the open call, we aim to expand the participation of young designers, students, and city residents, especially in the forum sessions. The first day will be structured as a more public and inclusive platform, encouraging a wider group of participants to contribute ideas, share perspectives, and take part in shaping the design process.
Â
Through Loopty, Street Forum brings together urban commons, tactical urbanism, and zero-waste practices, creating a temporary yet impactful transformation of public space in Ankara.
